Road rage incident leads to murder of 46 year old man in Anderson.

On Sunday, October 3, 2021, The Anderson Police responded to the intersection of Broadway and
Webster Street for a report of a subject being shot. As officers arrived in the area they located
a male subject near the roadway with a gunshot wound.
Witnesses on the scene told police that the shooting occurred due to a road rage incident, and the suspect(s) fired out of a small dark-colored sedan before fleeing northbound on Broadway. The suspect vehicle was also seen minutes before the shooting occurred in the neighborhood surrounding Webster Street.
The victim was transported to a local Anderson hospital and later died from his injuries. The
Madison County Coroner’s Office was called to the scene, and the case remains under investigation. As per Anderson city police policy, the victim’s identity is being withheld till proper notifications can be made.
