I have had the pleasure of speaking with some very positive and motivating adults over the past week. If nothing else, I am learning and growing so much from writing this blog. That brings me to my next topic. Mental Health.
Now, I know many of you think that people who suffer from a mental illness are somehow weak and flawed. I assure you, that is not the case. I graduated from IU with a degree in psychology and criminal justice. I wanted to be able to help people as much as I could. Little did I know that my education is helping me help myself! My father passed away in January and that was the hardest thing I have ever experienced. Don't get me wrong, when my brother died, I was distraught, angry, and disgusted with life! But when my Father passed, I was hurt. Just plain HURT. I realized I needed help. I couldn't deal with anything and, at the time, I was dealing with a lot! Everything annoyed me. Breathing too loud annoyed me!
Mental Health is Important, extremely important. Do what you have to in order to keep yourself together. There is nothing wrong with asking for help. If we could do it all alone, we wouldn't need each other. That is why I do this blog. Because I need You to be the best version of Me I can be!
On my next video blog, I will talk about how we need to stay mentally strong because people will try to use your mental health to control you! Thanks for reading and don't forget to leave your comments below. I would love to hear.
